Our team of experienced facilitators lives it and breathes it through our workshops that have been honed and tested over many years, and our dedication to building communication and collaboration.
For us, team building is not simply about making friends with your coworkers and having fun with your team. It is striving to become better and more whole people. Why is Experienced-Based Learning Important for Team Building?
Practice and Mastery: Do you know how to dance? Do you know how to write amazing code? Can you sit down and proficiently play a musical instrument? How have you honed those skills? It has taken hands on practice. It is not enough to have someone stand in front of you, telling you about a thing. Hearing is not as good as seeing, seeing is not as good as knowing, and knowing is not as good as doing. Applying knowledge to practice, this is our objective. The process of experientially developing skills is embedded within all of us. Here at Adventura, we actively work to provide people with the transition from knowing to applying.

We have high expectations for our Team Building practitioners. They aren’t camp counselors, they are skilled and motivated to help you define and achieve your goals. Our work is demanding but rewarding. Our practitioners are required to make a long term impact in a short amount of time.
Typically we look for candidates with degrees in Organizational Psychology with an emphasis on experience-based learning. Team members should share our values and be willing to communicate those values with our clients.
Who Needs Team Building?
We’ve worked with a wide variety of individuals and groups, and we believe that anyone and everyone would benefit from our workshops. We emphasize self discovery, improved communication, and collaboration. These are skills that are completely transferable from work to life.
Our typical team building events range from 25 – 40 participants. We’ve found that this is a good size for positive interaction. If you do have a larger group, be sure to contact us so we can create and event around your needs.

The Essentials Team Building Workshop
This workshop is exactly what it claims: the essentials. It hits on the fundamentals of healthy team dynamics. We offer your team a look at the foundation of trust and communication.
Our Essentials workshop explores the question of “What is important to a team and what is essential to YOUR team.” We use humor, collaboration, and adventure to help our clients discover what works when they create a team. This approach offers an environment where each person gets to personally experience how a healthy team helps the individual.
Healthy dialogue are encouraged in this workshop, through the use of activities, games, and sometimes climbing. Fun and laughter is encouraged as we take participants toward a deeper level of learning and developing together.

The True Colors Team Building Workshop
Four colors, seventeen questions, and one day to change everything. Our True Colors workshop comes in three variations.
This workshop is truly crafted around our clients. Your experience could range from one day of team building exercises, all the way to a three day deep dive of self exploration. We offer a journey into self-awareness and team dynamics, communication, and collaboration. Our 3-day retreat gives participants an all encompassing experience in skill development and implementation, knowledge and practice.
