When the urge to go wine tasting or get outdoor to play hits you, Woodinville has a variety of hidden gems to explore. Aside from magnificent wines, outstanding food, summer concerts, or a chill trip to the Spa… there are hidden gems, should you be feeling a bit more explorer-ish.

Art: At the top of the list is Willows Lodge‘s art collection.

Grab a glass of wine from the Fireside Lounge and wander the property hunting through the gardens and hallways for not only glimpses into history, but also wonderful art works.

A Game of Bocce

Never heard of it? Bocce is closely related to British bowls and French pétanque, all having developed from games played in the Roman Empire. It was developed into its present form in Italy (where it is called bocce, the plural of the Italian word boccia which means ‘bowl’ in the sport sense). Where? JM Cellars or Novelty Hill Januik Winery are the local venues for play.

Purely for the camera or the eyes, there is amazing wildlife to be seen, with a bit of patience and perhaps a picnic basket. What? Peacocks. Roaming the wilds of Chateau Ste Michelle‘s magnificent grounds. Otters! Yup, otters live in the river that flows gently through our verdant valley. Camp out with a picnic at Wilmot Park and cross your fingers.

Peddle Party

Two hours of tasting, fun, and life in the slower lane. Party Cycle NW is a pedal-powered bike that seats up to 15.  The bike is perfect for Parties of any kind

And of course… Adventura offers up fresh adrenalin daily spring, summer, and fall. Literally 300 feet from the entrance to the Wheelhouse where you can whet your whistle, nosh on tasty stuff or hang back and have a beer whilst you watch people explore the aerial park.
